Privacy policy

Skillcheck is designed to collect as little as possible. There are no user accounts and no player database.

What stays on your phone

• The Riot ID you enter as your own account.
• The players you pin as favorites and your recent searches.
• Your display preferences (chosen stats, story language).
• The story images you create, until you share or save them.
• Photos you pick or take as a story background are only used on your phone.

Deleting the app deletes all of this.

What goes through our server

To show your games, the app sends a Riot ID or a Riot player identifier (PUUID) to the Skillcheck server, which fetches public game data from the official Riot Games API. Responses are kept in a temporary cache (from one minute to 24 hours) to limit calls to Riot. We do not store them in a database, sell them or use them for advertising.

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the service. We use the IP address only to limit the number of requests per device.

Permissions

• Photos: to save a story to your gallery and to pick a background photo.
• Camera: only if you choose to take a background photo.
